Entry Requirements

3 GCSE grades at 4 or above including Business or similar subject area.

Course Content

On completion of this 2 year programme of study you will receive 2 level 3 BTEC Specialist qualifications, one in Principles of Customer Service (Year1) and the other in Principles of Event Management(Year 2).

During the customer service course you will look at customer service in action, being able to research and understand how businesses identify and meet customer needs, you will understand how to improve customer service provision and how to develop yourself both personally and professionally. Social media in customer service delivery also plays a big part of your learning, along with developing effective relationships and managing teams.

As part of the event management course you will get an overview of the Event Industry, and be able to gain first hand knowledge of how to manage and run an event from start to finish. You will also be given advice on how to evaluate your performance and report on the outcomes. The customer service theory you have learnt will also support the running of events throughout the course. (This course and content is subject to change)

This opportunity offers 2 courses that are assessed via unit assignments which are set and marked internally. Students will receive a Pass or Fail grade for each course.

Future Opportunities

With further training, you could go into a related employment such as a customer service agent, a restaurant or public house manager, shop manager or work within related hospitality fields within travel and transport industries.

The course also provides you with the basic knowledge, understanding and skills that many employers are looking for.
